Opening it the first time

The Bridge isn't code-signed by Apple or Microsoft yet, so your computer warns you once. This is what you'll see, and how to get past it.

On a MacmacOS stops the Bridge the first time you open it from Applications.
  1. You'll see this window. Choose Done, not Move to Trash.

  2. Open System Settings › Privacy & Security and scroll down to Security. Next to the Gen8 Bridge line, choose Open Anyway.

  3. Confirm with Open Anyway and your password or Touch ID. After that it opens normally.

On WindowsMicrosoft Defender SmartScreen stops the installer the first time.
  1. When you run the installer you may see this. Choose More info.

  2. Then choose Run anyway. The installer runs, and later updates install without asking.

On LinuxAn AppImage needs permission to run once.

Make it executable (file properties › Allow executing file as program, or chmod +x "Gen8 Bridge-"*.AppImage), then open it. The Debian package installs with your package manager.
